2. Arthur Ross Foundation Scholarship

Sponsored by the United Negro College Fund, this scholarship program makes annual awards of $1,000 - $3,000 to assist deserving applicants from the southern United States and all five New York City boroughs. 3. ASTA Southeast Chapter Professional Development Scholarship

Tourism Cares sponsors this program toward its mission of preserving the travel experience for future generations. Annual awards up to $1,500 are made to applicants who are members of the ASTA Southeast Chapter with travel or tourism industry work experience of one year or longer. 4. African American Alumni Chapter Endowed Scholarship

9. Dixie Youth Baseball Scholarship

Dixie Youth Baseball, Inc. makes 75 annual awards of $2,000 to graduating high school seniors with registered membership in a participating DYB league franchisee before their 13th birthday. 11. Greater Baton Rouge Chapter - Don Jones Excellence in Safety Scholarship

The Aspen Institute Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation sponsors this fellowship that is available to undergraduate and graduate students of color three times per year. Besides institutional discretionary academic credit, chosen fellows receive stipends of $2,000 to $4,000 for 15 to 20 hours of weekly internship participation over an academic semester or summer session.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent legal residents or approved participants in the U.S. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. 15. John Hainkel Louisiana Scholars Award

Two exceptionally accomplished incoming Louisiana freshmen at Tulane University receive generous awards of full tuition, fees, room, board and $1,200 toward textbooks and supplies. Provided chosen recipients maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and full-time enrollment, awards are renewable for up to five academic years of undergraduate studies.

Applicants first apply for the Dean's Honor Scholarship by November 15, prior to submitting a John Hainkel Louisiana Scholars Award application no later than December 15. 22. TOPS Scholarship Program

TOPS denotes the Taylor Opportunity Program administered by the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance to help worthy Louisiana high school graduates pursue higher education in familiar surroundings. TOPS scholarships in Louisiana are trifurcated as Honors, Performance, and Opportunity Awards. As of 2013-2014, each TOPS scholarship category made annual awards of $4701, $4101 and $3,500, renewable for up to four academic years.

23. Rockefeller State Wildlife Scholarship

Sponsored by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, this scholarship awards one undergraduate student $2,000 and one graduate student $3,000 annually who are pursuing forestry, marine science or wildlife degrees. Awards are renewable for up to three academic years of undergraduate or two academic years of graduate studies. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a public educational institution in Louisiana. Other eligibility criteria include Louisiana residency of a year of longer prior to July 1 of award year and Selective Service registration, if applicable.
