2. Chief Charles “Chet” Henry Scholarship

Through the International Association of Fire Chiefs Foundation (IAFCF), the Chief Charles “Chet” Henry Scholarship program has been created to provide $1,000 annually in honor of his active 20-year career serving the fire service community. 3. Chief Michael Maloney Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: April 30th

In memory of a dedicated law enforcement officer who was awarded the New Hampshire Chiefs of Police Medal of Honor before being killed in the line of duty in 2012, the Chief Michael Maloney Memorial Fund offers $1,000 scholarships to assist current public safety members and college students going into the public safety field. 4. Donald Althoff Memorial Scholarship

Sponsored by the Michigan Public Risk Management Association (MIPRIMA), the Donald Althoff Memorial Scholarship is granted annually for up to $2,000 to junior-level undergraduate students who have declared a major in risk management, public administration, public safety, occupational safety, or community health. With the goal of promoting excellence in government, Westchester County awards the Edwin G. 7. George D. Miller Scholarship

As part of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the George D. Miller Scholarship program was created to honor a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General who served as chair for the NFPA International Advisory Council and expanded its global presence. 9. Jamil Akhtar Public Safety Scholarship Fund

Administered through the Deputy Sherriff’s Association of Michigan (DSAM), the Jamil Akhtar Public Safety Scholarship Fund is designed to provide four $500 awards each year to deserving high school graduates or current college students who are pursuing a degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, corrections, or public safety administration. 10. Jason M. Baker Public Safety Scholarship

In honor of a Merit Officer for the Marion County Sheriff’s Department who was ambushed by two suspects armed with AK-47 assault rifles and killed in the line of duty in 2001, the Jason M. Baker Public Safety Scholarship is designed to deliver $6,000 for up to four years of undergraduate studies. 12. Mary Marshall Memorial Scholarship

Ranging in value from $1,500 to $2,400 each year, the Mary Marshall Memorial Scholarship is granted through the Arlington County Board in 1994 to honor an outstanding public servant who represented the county for 24 years in the Virginia General Assembly. Through Learning for Life’s National Exploring Committee, the Motorola Solutions Public Safety Explorer Scholarships are presented annually for $2,500 to four explorers in law enforcement, fire/EMS service, healthcare, or law and government who show exemplary potential in public safety. Sponsored by the New York City Police Foundation, the Raymond W. In partnership with the International Public Safety Leadership and Ethics Institute (IPSLEI), the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society offers the Richard L. 17. Secure Indiana Scholarships

18. Silent Key Scholarship Program

Founded with the goal of honoring our nation’s heroes and investing in the future of public safety, the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) has created the Silent Key Scholarship Program to provide $500 to several deserving individuals currently employed in the public safety communications field annually.
