What makes NSC the best online school in Nevada? Its popularity, for one thing. Although Nevada State College only enrolls a couple thousand undergrads, nearly half of them qualify as distance learners. And although the college does not offer any degrees 100% online, it meets the needs of nontraditional students in a different way - namely, through hybrid programs. Currently, the list of majors that incorporate online courses (Business Administration, Psychology, and Management) is fairly short. However, NSC is constantly expanding its offerings. In fact, the college recently introduced a new pilot program - the Evening and Online BA in History - that is committed to providing flexible study options for online learners and working adults.

Anyone interested in catching a show in Las Vegas or hitting the slopes at Lake Tahoe will have good reason to visit Nevada. But for college students – and online college students in particular? Well, their choices are limited. To begin with, Nevada only has 9 four-year institutions of higher education in the entire state. Surprisingly, a large percentage of these schools offer online courses. However, we could not include many of them on this ranking for a number of reasons (only online graduate programs, primarily associate’s degrees, etc.). In the end, we filtered the list down to the selection below: the 2 “best value” online colleges in Nevada. Note that for rankings with 3 schools or fewer, we made the decision not to include individual scores due to a lack of data. However, the order of the ranking still stands as an indication of relative value.
