Through the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship program provides up to 200 annual awards for $1,000 apiece to student members enrolled in two-year community colleges who show outstanding promise for business leadership. In honor of a former faculty member who spend 34 years in service teaching economics and serving as the chair for the School of Business Leadership, the Dale Marcoux Leadership Scholarship is granted annually for up to $1,500 for business administration and/or management students at Washburn University. At the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) every year, the Harry A. Applegate Scholarship Program is used to provide merit-based awards for up to $5,000 each to current DECA members who are enrolling in an accredited undergraduate degree in management, marketing, or merchandising.
