2. Captain Michael King Smith Private Pilot Scholarship

Deadline: February 28th

Sponsored by the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, the Captain Michael King Smith Private Pilot Scholarship is granted annually for $2,500 to junior or senior high school students from Yamhill County in Oregon who demonstrate an enthusiasm for pursuing a career in the aviation industry. Scholarship funds can be applied towards ground school instruction, dual and solo flight instruction, pre and post-flight instruction, and fees for taking the FAA written test.

3. Clackamas Chapter Ed Wood Memorial Award

Deadline: April 6th

Established by the Oregon Association of Nurseries (OAN), the Clackamas Chapter Ed Wood Memorial Award is offered annually for $1,500 to undergraduate or graduate students who are currently enrolled full-time in an accredited degree program for horticulture within Oregon in order to pursue a career in the nursery industry. 4. Dorothy Campbell Memorial Scholarship

Annually, the Oregon Golf Association (OGA) presents the Dorothy Campbell Memorial Scholarship for $1,000 to nine deserving female graduating high school seniors who will be enrolling full-time at a four-year public or non-profit university within Oregon in the upcoming fall term. Qualified applicants must have participated on a high school golf team, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or better, and compose a one-page essay describing how golf has contributed to their overall personal/professional development.

5. Ford Family Foundation Opportunity Scholarship

Deadline: March 1st

For residents of Oregon and Siskiyou County in California, the Ford Family Foundation distributes the Opportunity Scholarship each year for up to $25,000 to single parents who are the head of their household and are raising dependent children without the support of a domestic partner. Candidates must be planning to earn a bachelor's degree, exhibit financial need, display leadership roles in community activities, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

6. Grateful Nation Scholarship Program

Deadline: May 23rd

Administered through the Zonta Service Foundation of Corvallis, the Grateful National Scholarship Program provides $2,700 annually to female undergraduate or graduate students in Oregon who have served in one of the armed branches of the U.S. military since September 10, 2001, been assigned to a unit that deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, and received honorable discharge from the service. Preference will be given to female veterans who have served in a unit exposed to combat and been decorated by a specific combat badge/award.

7. Howard Vollum American Indian Scholarship

The Oregon Community Foundation bestows the Howard Vollum American Indian Scholarship for up to $3,000 for a maximum of five years of undergraduate study to high school seniors of American Indian heritage from Clackamas, Multnomah, or Washington County in Oregon who will be enrolling in an accredited U.S. institution full-time in the fall. Applicants must be majoring in science, computer science, engineering, or mathematics for pursuing an STEM career.

8. Hugh and Helen Wood Nepalese Scholarship

Deadline: March 5th

Established by the Benton County Foundation, the Hugh and Helen Wood Nepalese Scholarship is granted annually for $2,000 to students enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at Oregon State University who are current citizens of Nepal. Qualified applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, achieve a TOEFL score of 550 or better, and agree to become a public servant in Nepal for at least five years following graduation.

9. Janet Cullen Tanaka Scholarship Fund

Within the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Association for Women Geoscientists (AWG), the Janet Cullen Tanaka Scholarship Fund awards $1,500 each year to female undergraduate students who are completing a bachelor's degree in geology, environmental geology, geochemistry, geophysics, hydrogeology, hydrology, or other sciences. In honor of two long-time dedicated volunteers in remembrance of their daughters, the Luella and George Shaver Family Scholarship is awarded through the Girl Scouts of Oregon and SW Washington to an outstanding graduating Girl Scout Ambassador who has earned a Girl Scout Gold Award and will be pursuing educational endeavors at an accredited school. 12. Margaret Murphy Carley Scholarship for Nursing Education

On an annual basis, the Oregon Health Care Foundation (OHCF) presents the Margaret Murphy Carley Scholarship for Nursing Education for up to $5,000 to a certified nursing assistant currently working in the field of long-term care who is seeking to enroll in an accredited LPN, RN, BSN, or MSN degree program within the state. Eligible candidates must agree to continue work in the field of long-term care for at least three years and submit a brief two-page essay describing their commitment to the profession.

13. Michael Hibbard Theatre Student Scholarship

For members of the International Thespian Society, the Michael Hibbard Theatre Student Scholarship has been established by the Oregon Thespians to provide up to $1,500 to graduating high school seniors statewide who are planning to enroll in an accredited U.S. institution with a major or minor related to the theatre arts. 14. Oregon Barber and Hairdresser Grant Program

Through the Oregon Student Access Commission, the Oregon Barber and Hairdresser Grant Program offers one-time annual awards for up to $3,000 to residents who are currently attending a licensed school of barbering, hair design, cosmetology, or manicure in Oregon that participates in Federal Title IV financial aid. Founded by former University of Oregon standout football player and NFL quarterback Joey Harrington, the Oregon Community Quarterback Scholarship Program to provide four four-year renewable scholarships for $2,500 annually to Oregon high school seniors who exhibit outstanding leadership skills and take-charge abilities in their communities. 16. Oregon Logging Conference Foundation Scholarships

Each year, the Oregon Logging Conference Foundation awards five to ten scholarships ranging in value from $750 to $1,500 each to help support the educational endeavors of students in Oregon who are interested in pursuing a career related to forestry. 18. Portland Latino Gay Pride Scholarship

As the first scholarship at the Equity Foundation to focus on the Latino community and the first of its kind in the entire state, the Portland Latino Gay Pride Scholarship awards $1,000 annually to students of Hispanic heritage in Oregon who identify themselves as being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT). 22. Roy F. Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund

Annually, the Oregon Archeological Society offers the Roy F.
