1. Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce Scholarships

In order to provide recognition for academic and leadership qualities, the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce offers annual awards to graduating high school seniors of Hispanic descent in New Mexico who will be attending an institution of higher learning in the following fall. Qualified candidates must demonstrate financial need, exhibit educational achievement with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, and submit at least two letters of recommendation.

2. Artesia Special Hospital District Healthcare Occupations Scholarship

Funded by the New Mexico Community Foundation, the Artesia Special Hospital District (ASHD) Healthcare Occupations Scholarship is awarded annually for $750 to employees of Artesia General Hospital who are pursuing a career in the administration or operations of the healthcare field. 3. Billie Holder Memorial Scholarship Fund

Deadline: April 15th

Annually, the New Mexico Baptist Foundation (MNBF) sponsors the Billie Holder Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide $1,500 awards to deserving male or female undergraduate students of the Baptist faith who are currently enrolled full-time at any university within New Mexico. In order to qualify, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, demonstrate financial need, and submit a letter of recommendation from their pastor.

4. Cory Sufrin Memorial Award in Respiratory Care

Deadline: June 23rd

Sponsored by the New Mexico Society for Respiratory Care in honor of an excellent respiratory therapy educator who lost his battle with battle cancer, the Cory Sufrin Memorial Award in Respiratory Care is designed to assist students with their education at an accredited respiratory education program in New Mexico. Selection for the annual $1,000 award is based on patient care, scholastic achievement, financial need, and commitment to a career in respiratory therapy.

5. Dan and Lucille Wood Gray Gladiator Scholarship

Deadline: February 3rd

Presented by the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA), the Dan and Lucille Wood Gray Gladiator Scholarship is available for students attending a university in the state of New Mexico who were active in a minimum of two NMAA-sanctioned high school sports, including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, spirit, swimming/diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, or wrestling. Applicants must submit an official transcript showing a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, letter of recommendation from coach, and personal statement.

6. David R. Woodling Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2007 by the Albuquerque Community Foundation, the David R. Woodling Memorial Scholarship awards $1,000 to students who are currently attending an accredited educational institution in New Mexico in pursuit of a certificate or associate's degree with a concentration in metals technology, machine tool technology, or welding. Along with the application, students must attach a personal essay on relevant career experience, pictures of previous work, two or more letters of recommendation, and an official transcript.

7. Edward Hogan Scholarship for Graduate Assistants

For those participating in an assistantship at an accredited university in New Mexico, the Edward Hogan Scholarship for Graduate Assistants is presented by the New Mexico Highland Foundation (NMHF) for $2,000 to full-time graduate students who finished their bachelor's degree in the top 10% of their class with a minimum GPA of 3.5 or better. Preference will be given to students pursuing a Master of Science in Government or History as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business.

8. Fire Fighters and Peace Officers Survivors Scholarship

Administered through the New Mexico Higher Education Department, the Fire Fighters and Peace Officers Survivors Scholarship has been established to provide full-tuition to spouses, adopted, or natural children of firefighters and peace officers who have honorably lost their lives in the line of duty. 9. Helen Zimmermann Memorial Scholarship

Founded by the New Mexico Engineering Foundation in honor of an accomplished engineer who believed women should be encouraged into the engineering field, the Helen Zimmermann Memorial Scholarship is granted for $2,500 to female undergraduate students who are enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program in New Mexico. 10. HSF New Mexico Alliance Educational Scholarships

In collaboration with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), the New Mexico Alliance offers annual educational scholarships ranging in value from $1,000 to $2,500 for community college students, community college transfer students, undergraduate students, and graduates of Hispanic heritage in New Mexico. 11. Jiffy Lube Teen Driver New Mexico Scholarship Program

Deadline: March 12th

For New Mexico high school students between the ages of 15 and 18 who already have their driver's license or are enrolled in a driver's education program, the Jiffy Lube Teen Driver New Mexico Scholarship Program grants two awards annually for $2,000 apiece. In order to qualify for this unique and early opportunity to gain funding for college, students must submit a 500-word personal essay discussing their personal ambitions and "inner drive" for success.

12. Marion Dorroh Memorial Graduate Scholarship

With the mission of promoting librarianship in the state of New Mexico, the Marion Dorroh Memorial Graduate Scholarship is sponsored by the New Mexico Library Association (NMLA) to provide $1,500 to $3,000 annually to graduate students above the baccalaureate level who are pursuing a master's or doctoral degree in library and information science. 14. New Mexico Graduate Scholarship Program

Designed to increase graduate enrollment in the state's public post-secondary institutions, especially among women and minority students, the New Mexico Graduate Scholarship Program presents annual awards for up to $7,200 for full-time graduate students from traditionally underrepresented groups. Eligible candidates must serve 10 hours per week in an unpaid internship, be in good academic standing, have financial need, and be in the first year of graduate studies at a New Mexico institution.

15. New Mexico Legislative Lottery Scholarships

Deadline: Ongoing

Administered through the New Mexico Higher Education Department, the New Mexico Legislative Lottery Scholarships cover the full costs of tuition for graduating high school seniors or GED recipients who are planning to enroll full-time and complete a two-year degree within five terms or a four-year degree within nine terms. Recipients must be New Mexico residents, be enrolled in at least 12 credits at a public state institution, declare a financial aid eligible major, and possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better.

16. New Mexico Manufactured Housing Association Scholarship

Each year, the New Mexico Manufactured Housing Association provides one or two awards for up to $1,000 each to graduating high school seniors from New Mexico who are currently living in a mobile or manufactured home. For consideration, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better, be accepted for enrollment at a two or four-year public institution full-time, demonstrate financial need, and compose a personal one-page essay on career goals.

17. Nightingale Scholarship for Nursing Excellence

Awarded through the New Mexico Association for Home Health and Hospice Care, the Nightingale Scholarship for Nursing Excellence offers $1,000 to New Mexico residents who have completed at least eight credit hours of an accredited LPN, AND, BSN, or MSN degree program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. 18. Notah Begay III Athletic Scholarships

Sponsored by the famous professional golfer for distribution through the Albuquerque Community Foundation, the Notah Begay II Athletic Scholarships grant up to $1,400 for New Mexico graduating high school student-athletes who are of Native American descent. 19. Over the Rainbow Scholarship Fund

Established by the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico in honor of Dorothy Ellen Baker who strongly valued higher education opportunities for women, the Over the Rainbow Scholarship Fund presents annual awards ranging in value from $300 to $1,000. Specifically for non-traditional female undergraduate students who are not entering college directly from high school, the scholarships can be used for tuition expenses at Doña Ana Community College and/or New Mexico State University.
