Established to provide financial assistance to members of the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE), the Abrams Grant is awarded annually for $3,000 to full-time students who are enrolled in a civil or surveying engineering degree program at a post-secondary institution within Michigan. 2. AIST Judith A. Quinn Detroit Member Chapter Scholarship

In honor of Judith A. Quinn who was a pioneer for women in the Detroit steel industry, the Detroit Member Chapter of the Association for Iron and Steel Technology (AIST) offers one $2,500 and one $5,000 scholarship to the children or grandchildren of a chapter member in good standing for two or more consecutive years. 3. Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids Minority Scholarship

Created in honor of Dr. Carol Robinson Beals who was the President of the Beals Institute and devoted to the study of rheumatology, this Nursing Endowed Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in the undergraduate BSN nursing program at Michigan State University. 5. Children of Veterans Tuition Grant

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) offers the Children of Veterans Tuition Grant to provide undergraduate tuition assistance to natural or adopted children of a U.S. military veteran who was the legal resident of Michigan immediately before entering service. Each year, the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) grants the Dr. Gerald O' Connor Michigan Quarter Horse Youth Scholarship to association youth members with one year or more of active membership from Michigan who are enrolled at an accredited U.S. institution. Sponsored by the National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Association, two Earl R. 10. Julius and Esther Stulberg International String Competition Award

With the goal of promoting excellence in string instrument performance by gifted young artists, the Julius and Esther Stulberg International String Competition is held each spring for Michigan residents under the age of 20 who play the violin, viola, cello, or double bass. 11. King-Chavez-Parks Future Faculty Scholarship Program

Funded by the State of Michigan to increase the pool of underrepresented candidates pursuing faculty teaching careers in higher education, the King-Chavez-Parks Future Faculty Scholarship Program awards up to $20,000 for master's students and $35,000 for doctoral students who will sign a commitment to serve at least three years in a faculty or administrative position at any postsecondary institution in Michigan. 13. Michigan Competitive Scholarship Program

Established in 1964 to foster the pursuit of postsecondary education, the Michigan Competitive Scholarship (MCS) Program is funded by the state of Michigan to provide tuition assistance for high school seniors who are accepted to attend a degree-granting public or independent higher education institution in the state. 14. Michigan Youth Livestock Scholarship

Since 2000, the Michigan Youth Livestock Scholarship awards annual funding to graduating high school seniors who are legal residents of Michigan, will be continuing their education at an accredited institution, and have been a youth exhibitor of the Michigan State Fair or Michigan Livestock Expo for a minimum of three years. 16. North American International Auto Show High School Poster Contest

Each year, the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) hosts a High School Poster Contest to provide a unique opportunity for students in grades 10-12 to become involved in the premier auto show while gaining experience in a creative competition.
