Texas Tech University has an online Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies degree that offers two options: a 36 hour, non-thesis program; or a thesis option with 24 hours of coursework and six hours of thesis. Students may choose a pre-designed program, using coursework from different colleges, or a self-designed program, which incorporates three areas unique to the students who are creating the degree coursework. With a student to faculty ratio of 21 to 1, admission to the program requires an ACT or SAT scores, high school transcripts with class rank, and a $75 application fee. Texas Tech University offers an online, graduate tuition rate of $190 per credit hour, regardless of residency. The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges.
