Warner University was recently founded in the 1960s by ecclesiastical members of the Church of God. The 360 acre campus is just a few miles south of Lake Wales, which is in the center of Florida between Tampa and Orlando. Every year, around 1,200 students attend Warner University, so the student-to-faculty ratio of 16 to one. While it is a small university, the student body is represented by almost 30 states and 20 countries. Warner University consists of the Divisions of Arts and Sciences, Professional Programs and Graduate Studies. The undergraduate program offers almost 40 liberal arts and professional majors. There are only four graduate programs for working professional. These include the Masters of Education, Business Administration, Ministry and Management. Popular religious themed degrees include the Bachelor of Science in Transformational Church Ministry degree and popular secular degrees include the Bachelors of Health Care Management and Business Administration degree. Many of these degrees are available as online or campus based format.

Warner University's liberal arts focus ensures that students are exposed to a wide variety of academic disciplines. Warner University is an active member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II. Students compete in a number of intercollegiate sports, which includes baseball, basketball, football, softball, soccer, tennis and cross-country. Warner University Application Requirements

Students who want to attend Warner University will need to have a GPA of around 3.5 and strong recommendations from their high school principals or guidance counselors. The minimum ACT composite score is 24 or a combined SAT score of 1100. Students who have not taken any standardized tests may substitute a faculty or committee member recommendation. The final step of the admissions process is a personal interview with the admissions director.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Students who take 12 to 18 semester hours will pay at least $10,056 for tuition. Part-time students who take one to 5 credits will pay $394 per credit hour, those who take six to eight credit hours will pay $530 and those who take 9 to 11 will pay $645 per credit hour. Housing costs around $2,100 and meals will cost around $2,000. Almost 98 percent of students receive some type of financial aid. Tuition assistance is provided through student loans and work opportunities. To be considered for financial aid or federal loans, students must complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

There are many federal loans to help pay for a college education. These include subsidized and unsubsidized Federal Direct Stafford Loans as well as Federal Direct PLUS Loan and the Federal Direct Consolidation Loan programs.

There are also a limited number of church service grants to help Church of God members obtain affordable educations. This unique grant is available to ministers, ministry associates and church workers. Warner University fully supports the Department of Defense's Yellow Ribbon Program, which is part of the Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008.
