St. Petersburg College was founded in 1927 with the support of local leaders in business and politics. The college became the first two-year education institution in Florida. The first graduating class left the school in 1929 and the cohort numbered just 48 students.

Commission on Colleges. The school is allowed to distribute accredited bachelor's degrees in science. It

St. Petersburg College Application Requirements
Students who wish to join St. Petersburg College must submit an application to the board of admissions. They must also submit their high school transcripts. Most applicants are assessed a $40 application fee. Students who are applying to join the university straight from high school are not liable to pay this fee.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition for undergraduate programs is assessed per credit hour. For lower division courses, Florida students will be charged $111.75 per credit. Out of state students will be assessed a fee of $386.90 per academic credit.
When students begin taking upper division courses, the tuition begins to increase. Florida students will
pay $122.70 per upper division credit. Non-resident students will pay $425.79 per academic credit.
These fees represent tuition for course credits only. They do not include the mandatory fees, books, housing or other expenses incurred by students in a university setting.

Bachelor of Science Business Administration
This degree teaches students how to be flexible in the modern business world. The degree also provides students with a broad foundation in many aspects of business. This general learning will inform many of the student's practical decisions in their careers. During this degree, students will enjoy learning about business law, accounting, economics, finance, marketing, management, operations and statistics.
As a result of this general degree, students will be prepared for work in many areas of business. Whether they have an interest in administration, corporate finance, retail marketing, public relations or accounting, students will walk away with the skills they need to take on real life situations.
In addition to this wide education, students will be able to choose from sub-plans like marketing,
banking, management and financial services.
All courses are delivered in eight-week increments. All of the business courses for this degree are available in an online format using the latest distance learning technology. Thought it is a distance program, students will continue to have the opportunity to build relationships with faculty.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The need for highly educated nurses grows annually in the United States. St. Petersburg College has risen to meet this need with its R.N. to B.S.N. program. Students who enter this program will already hold an R.N. credential and experience in the field of healthcare. The online format allows students to fit the course in around their schedule. Students can complete the program in as little as four semesters. It offers further flexibility by allowing each student to choose where they will complete the required practicums.
This degree educates students to a level that prepares them for advancement in their careers and even prepares them for further graduate study. The program provides a broad education that goes beyond public health. Students in this program will have the opportunity to develop their skills in research, management, theory, leadership and communication.
Applicants wishing to join this program must meet the college's entrance requirements as well as the
programs own selective requirements. Students must have an active RN license. They must also be able to
demonstrate the completion of a two-year degree in Nursing. Students will provide this evidence in the
form of transcripts.
