Liberty University is a four-year liberal arts college located in central Virginia. This educational institution is divided into 16 colleges and schools that offers over 500 programs of study. This includes professional certificates and doctoral-level degrees. The 550 degree programs of study include 210 undergraduate, 140 graduate, four doctoral and 270 online programs. Liberty University Accreditation Details

Liberty University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and approved by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. Education degree students who complete the Teacher Licensure Program are eligible to earn an Association of Christian Schools International certificate. Education programs are approved by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and the Virginia Department of Education.

Liberty University Application Requirements

Potential students must mail or complete the online application. This should include sealed official high school transcripts that show at least a 2.0 GPA. Each graduate program may come with unique admissions requirements. For example, the Master of Arts in Music Education requires applicants to audition for placements. The MBA program requires students to have a regionally accredited bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 3.0. Master of Accountancy students must take prerequisites like auditing, taxation, cost accounting and managerial finance.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Due to the fact that Liberty University is a nonprofit institution, they offer some of the lowest tuition rates for an online college. Part-time undergraduates will pay $455 and full-time undergraduates will pay $390 per credit. Part-time Masters of Arts, Business, Science and Education students will pay $615 per credit and full-time will pay $565. Both part-and full-time military undergraduates will pay $250 per credit. Liberty University helps students navigate the financial aid process by answering questions and fast tracking educational requests. In order to be considered for federal financial aid, such as loans, grants and scholarships, students must complete the online FAFSA. Online Degrees

Almost all online degree courses are eight weeks long, but some take up to 16 weeks to complete. Hybrid degree programs are completed through online courses with residential courses, weekend classes and on-campus intensives.
