Concordia University - Saint Paul is a campus that is part of the Concordia University System. Founded in 1893 by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, the St. Paul campus offered prep classes for future ministers and leaders. The small school then acquired a small plot of land and took over part of a former boys' school campus. It wasn't until the 1920s that the college finally offered its first degree programs. As those were two-year programs, the school developed a reputation as a good junior college. Many of the students studying during this era completed high school and then instantly enrolled in the college before transferring to a larger campus later. Female students earned the right to attend the college in 1950.

The United States Department of Education forbids any college from getting federal government financial aid unless it has regional accreditation. Not only does Concordia University - Saint Paul have regional accreditation, but it comes from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCACS). NCACS does a standard review every 10 years and will only renew a school's accreditation if it continues meeting its standards. When you apply to Concordia University- Saint Paul, you can create your own online account. Once you create a user name and password, you can log in and start working on your application.
