Concordia University – Saint Paul is a campus that is part of the Concordia University System. Founded in 1893 by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, the St. Paul campus offered prep classes for future ministers and leaders. The small school then acquired a small plot of land and took over part of a former boys' school campus. It wasn't until the 1920s that the college finally offered its first degree programs. Some of these programs still have a close association to the church, including programs in ministry and religion.
