Colorado Technical University-Online Application Requirements
There are three common steps that must be completed when applying for admission regardless of whether you are seeking undergraduate admissions, graduate admissions, you are a non-degree seeking student, or an international student. You must interview with an admissions advisor to determine your goals and decide which degree at CTU is right for you. You must complete the CTU online application in its entirety. You must submit documentation including valid proof of high school graduation or high school equivalency documents. CTU has an open enrollment policy and does not require scores from tests such as the SAT or ACT unlike many other universities.

Graduate Students - An essay may be required depending on the degree you are pursuing. More information may be obtained from your admissions advisor. A Doctoral interview is required for all students enrolling in a Doctoral program.
International Students - You are required to submit an English proficiency test such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). All International transcripts that are submitted for review must be translated into English.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition is charged per credit hour and payment is due at the start of each quarter. A quarter lasts 11 weeks with two 5 ½ week sessions. Tuition includes all course material which may be delivered electronically (e-book). In addition to general tuition, there is a $125 technology fee to cover student access and maintenance of the University's online systems. There is also a non-refundable graduation fee which is be charged in the final term.
CTU offers its students the opportunity to earn credit for what you already know through its CTU Fast Trackâ¢. Using the Intellipathâ¢adaptive technology, you may choose to take a test on material you already know. If you pass the test with a grade of 70 percent or higher, the pertaining course is be removed from your schedule. There is no penalty for not passing. You have the potential to graduate up to 30 percent sooner and save 30 percent on your tuition. CTU Fast Trackâ¢ is offered at no additional cost.
If you are experiencing financial difficulty, CTU offers Financial Aid Advisors to assist you with a payment plan for your education. They can assist you with determining if you are eligible and applying for federal and state loans, scholarships, grants, work-study programs, private loans, and tuition reimbursement. Whether awarded or not, financial aid must be applied for every year you need assistance while attending CTU. All students pursuing federal aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Financial aid forms are processed only after acceptance to CTU.
