Central Penn College is a private four-year college residing in Summerdale, Pennsylvania. Since its founding, it has been committed to providing career-relevant education and professional academic environment to help students succeed both academically and professionally. Central Penn College was founded in 1881 as Pennsylvania Business College and during its first 89 years, the school operated as a career-oriented business school. In 1922, the school became Central Pennsylvania Business College. In 1970, the college moved locations to Summerdale and the college's current campus started. The college gained accreditation in 1977. In 1999, the college was recognized as a two-year institution with degree-granting privileges and in 2000 it was approved to operate as a four-year postsecondary school. In 2002, the college doubled the size of its educational buildings and a new library opened. In 2004, the college started offering online courses and in 2005, it was granted permission to offer two completely online bachelor's degree programs. In 2013, the college began offering a master's degree in professional studies. Today, Central Penn College offers associate, bachelor's, and master's degree programs, including 29 online degree programs and four hybrid degree program. It is home to about 1,385 students from all walks of life, including more than 1,348 undergraduate students and 37 graduate students.

Undergraduate

• Submit completed application for admission either via paper application or online
• No application fee
• Submit official high school diploma, home schooling certificate, or GED
• Submit transcripts from all postsecondary institutions
• Complete a personal interview with an admissions counselor
• Complete additional admission requirements for specific undergraduate programs

Graduate

• Submit graduate studies application
• Submit proof of at least three years of professional work experience, a waiver may be granted as determined by the Graduate Admissions Committee and GRE or MAT may be considered
• Must have an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or above from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Submit two letters of recommendation, including one from a current or former supervisor
• Submit a two to three-page statement expressing career goals and professional objectives at they are related to organizational leadership.
• Submit current professional resume

Tuition and Financial Aid

Tuition

Undergraduate

Central Penn College charges $466 per credit for undergraduate students. For example, a student enrolled in three credits pays $1398 and one taking 15 credits pays $6990. Students also pay a student/technology fee per term of $178 for four credits or less and $290 for five credits or more. Specific programs may also charge additional fees per term.

Graduate

For graduate students, tuition is $634 per credit and students are required to take six credits per term for five terms and one term of three credits, which totals 33 credits. The estimated tuition is $3804 per term for six credits and $1902 for three credits. The student/technology fee is $290.

Grants

Online Business Administration Degree at Central Penn College

Central Penn College offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. The program strives to provide students with the necessary abilities to succeed in today's highly competitive workplace. The program is comprehensive that include education in business concepts, management theories, human resources and ethics, management, finance, and accounting. Students Graduates of the program are prepared to pursue careers in both the public and private areas of the business world. The program includes a core curriculum that provides students with a solid understanding and know-how of business administration. In addition to the strong business background, students have the ability to select a concentration that meets their academic and professional goals. The concentrations include banking and financial services, finance, healthcare administration, human resource management, management, and marketing. The online business administration program requires the completion of 124 credits, including general education courses, core courses, and elective or concentration courses. The core business administration courses include accounting, finance, microeconomics, principles of management, principles of marketing, human resources, international business, electronic business, organizational behavior, and business law. As students progress through the core curriculum, they engage in practical experiences in the actual business field. Students must also complete a capstone course or internship experience to fully prepare them for the real world. Internships are typically 180 hours in length and include a research project geared toward individual student's career track. Online students have the ability to complete the capstone option instead of the traditional internship experience. The capstone course includes an extensive research project and paper related to the individual's selected career path.
