2. Andrew York Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: February 15th

In honor of a journeyman lineman who was killed in 2000 after being hit on the job by a drunk driver, the Community Foundation of North Central Washington (CFNCW) offers the Andrew York Memorial Scholarship each year for $3,000 to an outstanding graduating senior from any high school in Washington who has been active in spreading awareness about drug and alcohol prevention. 3. Atsuhiko Tateuchi Memorial Scholarship

Within the Seattle Foundation, the Atsuhiko Tateuchi Memorial Scholarship is presented each year for $5,000 for up to 10 students of Japanese or other Asian ancestry from the Pacific Rim states of Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington. For students from Chimacum, Port Townsend, and Quilcene, the Jefferson County Community Foundation (JCCF) distributes the Deb Johnson Endowed Scholarship for up to $1,000 annually to junior or senior high school students who plan to attend an accredited public or private university within Washington. Founded with the goal of acknowledging the accomplishments of high-achieving students who are bona fide residents of Western Washington, the Edmund F. 8. Em Finlay Western Washington Annual Scholarship

In honor of an outstanding woman who has played an integral role in establishing the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington (BIAWA), the Em Finlay Western Washington Annual Scholarship is presented for $1,000 annually to one full-time and one part-time undergraduate student who is a survivor of a traumatic brain injury. 9. Garrett J. Goodchild Achievement Award

12. Horse Heaven Hills Scholarship

Within the Washington Chapter of the Phi Delta Kappa International, the John and Brenda Armenia Scholarship Program is designed to provide $1,000 to practicing K-12 educators in the state of Washington who are actively seeking an advanced degree or certification to become a school administrator. 14. Joseph Darimont Vocational Award

Through the Washington State Elks Association, the Joseph Darimont Vocational Award is granted each year for $1,000 to high school graduates between the ages of 18 and 50 years old who are preparing to enter or return to the workforce by attending a vocational training program at a trade school or community college in Washington. 15. Mary Gates Research Scholarships

At the University of Washington, the Mary Gates Research Scholarships are presented for $4,000 to full-time matriculated undergraduate students with 12 or more credits per semester who are already engaged in research while pursuing a bachelor's degree at the UW Bothell, Seattle, or Tacoma campus. 16. Master Gardener Foundation of Washington State Scholarships

22. Washington State Governors' Scholarship for Foster Youth

Supported by Governor Jay Inslee through the College Success Foundation, the Washington State Governors' Scholarship for Foster Youth provides $2,000 to $4,000 to around 40 graduating high school senior annually to reduce the costs of post-secondary education options.
