A PR specialist is someone who helps improve the public image of a company, an individual or a product. You might work with local musicians and actors just starting out, for a leading soft drink company or for a small company releasing a new product onto the market. The Bureau of Labor Statistics found that the media pay for this profession is around $58,000 a year. As a social media PR specialist, you'll handle the public image of a client on social networking sites.
