Deadline: May 1st Established by Bill and Toni Adkins in honor of their son Neil who was killed in an automobile accident in 2009 after beginning his career as a lineworker, the Adkins Linemen Scholarship is granted annually for $1,000 by the Wyoming Rural Electrical Association (WREA). In order to qualify, candidates must plan to attend an approved lineworker program at a Wyoming community college or technical school, be pursuing a career in the electric industry, and submit at least two letters of recommendation.

2. Cohee Family Trucking Scholarship

Deadline: March 4th Through the Wyoming Trucking Association (WTA), the Cohee Family Trucking Scholarship is presented each year for up to $1,500 to a high school graduate who is currently enrolled in a Wyoming college or university in courses that could lead to a successful career in the state's highway transportation industry. Qualified applicants must be following an approved course of study in business management, computer science, office management, safety, diesel mechanics, or truck driving.

3. Craig and Susan Thomas Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: May 1st For high school graduates, GED recipients, and non-traditional undergraduate students who do not qualify for receiving the state's Hathaway Scholarships, the Craig and Susan Thomas Foundation will award $2,000 scholarships annually for attending a Wyoming two or four-year school. Eligible candidates must be bona fide Wyoming residents, have U.S. citizenship, be learners at risk, have struggled through high school, and be interested in receiving individual mentoring.

4. Curt E. Kaiser Jr. Scholarship

Deadline: Varies Each year, the Curt E. Kaiser Jr. Scholarship is granted to ten outstanding graduates from Wyoming public high schools to provide $3,000 each year for a maximum of five years of undergraduate studies at an accredited in-state higher learning institution for a grand total of $15,000. Eligible applicants are required to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, successfully complete at least 12 college credits each semester, provide verification of full-time enrollment, and be pursuing a first bachelor's degree.

5. Douvas Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: April 30th Named in remembrance of Peter George Douvas who was an immigrant from Greece, the Douvas Memorial Scholarship is offered each year for $500 through the Wyoming Department of Education to American citizens between the ages of 18 and 22 years old whose parents were not born in the United States. To be eligible, students must be first-generation Americans, be residents of Wyoming, be pursuing a degree at a community college or the University of Wyoming, and show financial need.

6. Ellis and Nellie Patch Scholarship

Deadline: February 1st Within the Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF), the Ellis and Nellie Path Scholarship has been designed to provide $1,500 in financial assistance annually to sophomore, junior, and senior-level undergraduate students who are enrolled at least half-time at an approved non-profit educational institution. Qualified candidates must be residents of Johnson County in Wyoming, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, demonstrate financial need, and write a personal essay on accomplishments in which they take pride.

7. Gary Beach Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: June 1st In honor of his work for the Department of Environmental Quality, the Wyoming Natural Resource Foundation has established the Gary Beach Memorial Scholarship to offer $1,200 to junior and senior-level undergraduate students who are currently majoring in environmental science, natural resource management, water resources, rangeland ecology, watershed management, or a related field. Eligible students must have completed at least 59 credits, be enrolled at the University of Wyoming, and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

8. Hathaway Scholarship Program

Deadline: March 1st Administered through the Wyoming Department of Education as an incentive for students to prepare for post-secondary education, the Hathaway Scholarship Program provides between $800 and $1,600 to graduating high school seniors who have obtained a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and an ACT composite score of at least 19. Candidates must being graduating from a Wyoming high school, be legal Wyoming residents, and plan to enroll in at least 24 credit hours per academic year at an accredited in-state institution.

9. Hispanic Organization for Progress and Education (HOPE) Scholarships

Deadline: April 1st Annually, the Hispanic Organization for Progress and Education (HOPE) presents scholarships of varying amounts to residents from Wyoming's capital city of Cheyenne who are of Hispanic descent and are in need of financial assistance to attend college. Qualified candidates must be graduating seniors at a Cheyenne high school, plan to enroll full-time for both the fall and spring semesters, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, and attach a personal essay.

10. John and Pauline Peterson Scholarship

Deadline: February 15th As part of the Wyoming State 4-H Foundation, the John and Pauline Peterson Scholarship is awarded each year for $500 to current or former members with four years of 4-H club work in Crook County who are graduating high school and will be attending the University of Wyoming or another accredited post-secondary institution in-state for the upcoming fall term. 11. Katie Tapp Memorial Scholarship Fund

Deadline: March 15th Through the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, the Katie Tapp Memorial Scholarship Fund will distribute $8,000 over four years of undergraduate studies annually to outstanding graduating seniors from Wyoming high schools within Teton County who will be pursuing an accredited bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics (STEM). 12. Lauren P. Miller Scholarships

Deadline: July 1st Within the Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF), the Lauren P. Miller Scholarships are granted each year for $600 apiece to at least ten individuals who are participating in a Registered Apprenticeship Program with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, with special preference given to those in the automotive and construction trades. Eligible candidates must be residents of Wyoming, be willing to sign an agreement to abstain from alcohol and tobacco use, and complete the duration of the training to avoid repayment.

13. Les Parsons Scholarship Program

Deadline: April 15th With the goal of providing a lasting memorial to his countless contributions to music education, the Les Parsons Scholarship Program has been created through the Wyoming Music Education Association (WMEA) to provide $500 annually to the state's graduating high school seniors who are planning to pursue a degree in music education from an accredited U.S. institution. Along with the application, candidates must submit an official high school transcript, a personal essay on future contributions to the music education profession, and an audition tape or CD.

14. Livingston Family Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: March 1st Sponsored by the Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation (WYFB), the Livingston Family Memorial Scholarship is presented for $1,500 each year to graduating high school seniors who will be enrolling full-time at a Wyoming junior college or the University of Wyoming in the upcoming fall term. 15. Margaret L. Hageman Scholarship

Deadline: March 15th Established by the Wyoming Nurses Association (WNA), the Margaret L. Hageman Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to traditional and non-traditional nursing students who are preparing for a career as a registered nurse (RN). Deadline: February 1st Each year, the Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF) offers the Robert and Cathy Spicer Family Scholarship for $1,500 to graduating seniors from a public high school within Sweetwater County who are planning to attend a four-year university, two-year junior college, or trade/technical school to receive a degree in business. Deadline: March 7th Ranging in value from $500 to $1,000 from the Wyoming Geological Association (WGA), the Steve Champlin Scholarship Program is available annually for sophomore, junior, and senior-level undergraduate students who are enrolled at an accredited four-year university in the Rocky Mountain region with a declared major in geosciences. 19. Troy Yost Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: February 1st Administered through the Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF), the Troy Yost Memorial Scholarship is bestowed annually for $1,500 upon a graduating high school senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better who will be attending the University of Wyoming or any other in-state junior college with a major in art, especially western or wildlife art. Deadline: March 1st Created in 1997 at the University of Wyoming, the USS Wyoming/Dick Cheney Scholarship is awarded each year for up to $2,500 to Wyoming residents who are about to graduate or have already graduated from a public high school in the state and will be attending an in-state community college or the University of Wyoming as a full-time undergraduate student. Deadline: April 1st Through the Wyoming Chapter of ARMA International, the Vicki Carroll Memorial Business Scholarship is granted annually for $500 to an outstanding graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student who is pursuing a career in business, records management, and/or information management. 22. Wind River Tribes Educational Endowment Scholarship

Deadline: February 1st At Central Wyoming College (CWC), the Wind River Tribes Educational Endowment Scholarship is awarded each year for $1,000 to full-time Native American students enrolled in an approved associate's degree program who can demonstrate an association with either the Shoshone or Arapaho tribes. Deadline: March 1st At the University of Wyoming, in-state graduating high school seniors are eligible to receive the Wyoming Scholars Award for $1,000 each year for a maximum of four years of undergraduate studies.
