Welcome to our best value ranking of online colleges in Rhode Island.
Most people know Rhode Island to be the smallest state in the U.S. Considering it is also one of the most densely populated, that doesn’t leave much room for colleges! Fortunately, Rhode Island residents who wish to study online aren’t completely out of luck. Of the few online-accessible schools in this state, we’re bringing you the 2 “best value.” Note that for rankings with 3 schools or fewer, we made the decision not to include individual scores due to a lack of data. However, the order of the ranking still stands as an indication of relative value.
2. University of Rhode Island
As one might expect from the country’s smallest state, there isn’t exactly an overabundance of options for college students in Rhode Island. Not only that, but many of the state’s universities are surprisingly expensive. However, there are some diamonds in the rough worthy of this Rhode Island best online colleges ranking, and the University of Rhode Island is one of them. That being said, URI’s distance learning program isn’t for everyone. That’s because the school hosts a single online undergraduate degree: the RN-to-BSN in Nursing. But if you’re interested in taking just a few distance ed classes, then your options expand dramatically. In fact, URI offers so many individual online courses that over 40% of undergrads enroll in at least one each semester!
