Of those online-accessible schools, we’re bringing you the 5 “best value.” These top 5 colleges all earned at least 50 points (out of 100) in our ranking.

5. Albany State University
Albany State holds an important place in history as one of Georgia’s three historically black universities. At the same time, ASU is investing in the future with three very affordable online degrees in Georgia. One of these three is the B.S. in Business Information Systems. Designed to prepare students for careers in a modern business environment, it includes coursework in database management, e-commerce, and other cutting-edge fields. Albany offers two other bachelor’s degrees include an RN to BSN program and a unique BS in Fire Services Administration. All three degrees benefit from ASU’s participation in the eCore curriculum, which enables students to complete two years’ worth of core courses online.

4. Georgia Southern University
Most of GSU’s impressive online offerings are focused on graduate-level work, as the school is one of the top online colleges in Georgia for master’s degrees. But this Peach State institution has also allocated plenty of its formidable resources to undergraduate education. Students can take advantage of the university’s impressive eLearning technology to earn a degree in nursing, IT, or general studies. The school’s primary engine for distance learning is a collaborative online platform called GoVIEW. This software, which is connected to Georgia’s statewide online education system, enables GSU students to take classes from other state institutions, including specialty courses that might otherwise be hard to find online.

Students of all backgrounds and ages can take advantage of the University of West Georgia’s distance education initiatives. For adult learners and non-traditional students, the Richards College of Business and the College of Social Sciences collectively offer some of the top online degrees in Georgia, including four fully online and seven hybrid programs. And lastly, professional nurses can give themselves a career boost with UWG’s 100% online RN to BSN degree.

Columbus State’s affordable online degrees come in every variety: hybrid, partial, and fully online, giving distance learners multiple pathways by which to pursue their bachelor’s degree at CSU. Students who fall in the latter category can opt for Clayton’s online B.A. in English – a rare find in virtual classrooms. On the other hand, tech-focused undergrads may prefer CSU’s cost-effective computer networking degree. And of course, the online RN to BSN is a staple for nursing professionals hoping to enhance their career prospects.
