Those who are interested in a field can turn to blogs for tons of information and a way to network with others interested in the same field. That's true for paralegal blogs too. Aspiring paralegals or established professionals can benefit from staying current on topics concerning the community.

Digital Paralegal Services

As a paralegal, it's often your responsibility to keep your boss and his firm current with news and trends. That includes new technology. With more and more courtrooms wired for technology, judges expect less paper exhibits and more digital ones. In fact, some judges require lawyers to bring in laptops to interface with the visual system they have in place. It speeds the process of trial and gives the judge and jury a new way to look at evidence. The paralegal will have to do research on the judge and courtroom to know whether digital displays are required as well as how to turn current exhibits into technology for the space. This blog helps the paralegal with the growing world of technology in the courtroom.

The Paralegal Society

Created in 2011, this paralegal blog has hundreds of posts with tags and categories like advice, answers, questions, motivate and social forum. It's a place where paralegals can connect over topics they find worthy of their time. Jamie Collins is the founder of the blog, and she keeps the blog moving along with a few posts per month. There's an entire section for the aspiring paralegal, which is terrific for those who are in school or thinking about going to school to become a paralegal. The tagline for the site dedicates the blog as a forum to educate, motivate and inspire "paralegalkind" as she puts it.

The Empowered Paralegal

As far as paralegal blogs, this one hosts a discussion forum where you can interact with other paralegals about issues in the legal industry. There are posts regarding licensing and education of paralegals too. It's perfect for new and aspiring paralegals, and it has book reviews as well as opportunities to volunteer. Stress management can be a huge concern for paralegals, and this blog covers tips and tricks to relieve that stress.

Paralegal Alliance

There are numerous informative posts on this blog centered around the career of a paralegal. It answers questions like how to become a paralegal for a freelance business to whether you need to obtain a bachelor's degree to work in the field. If you've had a question about being a paralegal in the future, it's likely that this blog has the answer. Each post is listed in a category of Learn, Advance or Win, which is the tagline for the site. There's also the category of Find a Job, which is perfect for aspiring paralegals.

The Estrin Report

Chere Estrin has been writing The Estrin Report since 2005. She's been a founder for magazines and associations within the paralegal industry where she's a passionate advocate for those in the field. She's written Paralegal Career Guide along with her posts. Categories on the blog range from advertising, aviation law and bankruptcy law to IRS, identity theft and jury selection.

An aspiring or established paralegal who is passionate about their career will immerse themselves in that world. They'll devour magazines, periodicals, articles and blog posts related to the field. It's a great way to network with other passionate paralegals too.
